Christian Mingle - Two thumbs UP!
I got in on a lifetime membership offer so I don't pay any monthly dues - a definate plus. I don't think you can get that offer any more.
I like this site for a lot of reasons. Fist and most obvious it is for Christians only, so I know I don't have to eliminate men I would not date anyway for my personal religious reasons - which could be a plus for some and a reason to avoid for others.
The profile questions are not too much and it gives you adequate room to write in your essays, which it seems most members do. I especially like the Color Code Personality feature. You take a test and it determines the percent of each color code you are. Each color represents a personality type. It is all explained and even gives you an explanation of how well you would match with other color combinations. I would go on the website just for this great feature! Then send your propective dates there to have them do it too!
You can see who is online. It has a good IM feature that keeps a log of each IM session for you to look back on later.
It lets you know who has been viewing your profile. You can send cards and smiles as well as emails. All of these tracked on your home page.
A calendar is available for members to post local singles events. The discussion board can be pretty animated and you can see a lot of different viewpoints.
What I don't like about it. Can't really blame the website for this, but a lot of the men as just as superficial as non-Christian men, I would guess at least 80% or more, limiting their selection criteria to exclude women with weight problems (even when they themselves are not so hot!) Not much action on this website if you are overweight - which a lot of us are.
Also, Christians can be mighty judgemental when they feel like it. Just have to step around the occasional ignorant remark. Gets to be a bit much at times. But lots more members who uplift and encourage.
This is based on my experience over the past year or so. But an enjoyable place to be none-the-less. Far better than most of the others.
