quick thought - was talking to someone on Secretmeet last night and somehow we ended up spending like twenty minutes just complaining about gas prices together. wasnt even the plan, it just came up when she mentioned filling up her tank and about fell over at the total, and neither of us couldve stopped after that if we tried
started with gas but then it just kept going, groceries, her electric bill, my insurance renewal that went up again this year. not like either of us thinks its some big mystery why, inflation's been all over the news for a while now, just different when its an abstract headline versus actually watching your own numbers creep up month to month. both of us just going back and forth like, wait you too?? for a good while there
ended up being one of the better talks weve had honestly, just two people comparing notes on how its actually hitting day to day, not just agreeing it exists in theory
anyone else find themselves having this same kind of conversation lately or is it just me

OUT WEST DISTANCES MAKE GAS HURT WORSE. GROCERIES TOO SINCE HALF OF IT GETS TRUCKED IN FROM THREE STATES AWAY. REAL THING YOU TWO WERE ON ABOUT

same exact thing happened to me last week except it was about my dogs vet bill going up 40%. secretmeet app has been solid honestly, no red flags, active users, no bots ive noticed. filing this thread away as evidence
