Hey Robby, I totally see where you’re coming from with SilverSingles feeling streamlined and low-pressure, and honestly I agree a focused experience is nice, especially when so many apps just feel chaotic these days. A personality test and slower pace can make things feel less superficial, which I think is part of the appeal for us "senior" daters who want genuine conversations rather than endless swiping. 🙂
That said, I’ll admit from my experience there were a few things worth keeping in mind. A lot of the “focused” feel sometimes comes from a smaller active user pool, since SilverSingles leans toward older demographics and isn’t as swiped-up as the big apps. This means fewer new faces over time, which can be good if you’re not into overload, but it also means you might see the same people or fewer matches overall.
Also, some features being behind a paywall can feel a bit annoying when you’re used to more free-to-use tools on other platforms, it’s manageable I guess but you really need to pay to play.
