I was wondering, so many "Free" sites seem pretty good untill you try to make cotact with someone. Is there any "free sites" that will let you contact or be contacted by someone? Hopefuly thanks for the help, Glenn

The only one that I know of is: matchdoctor.com.
Not the prettiest layout, but then again it is free.
The only 2 things that I noticed if you paid was that you get a gold member status (your profile is at the top), and that you can view more than 1 picture if the person has more than 1.

I seem to recall houstonconnect.com allows free members to wink at other members. I don't recall whether you had to be a paying member or not to respond.
Of course, this is only good if you're from the Houston area.

Most free dating sites I have found really are just a message base. They usually have a low number of users. I haven't found any sites that offer chat, messaging, etc. like the big site you have to pay for. The sites that do offer chat (like city date mentioned above), etc are just sites with no users. They also plan on charging users once the site reach a certain number of members.

citydate is pretty useless. it's especially heavy on the useless images and graphics. they're obviously trying to make their site look "prettier" and more "professional" than they really are. in reality, any professional web designed will tell you it's run by amateurs. it's funny how they advertise "real people" use their site, yet most of profiles of women are fake profiles w/ photos from adult porn sites and webcam sites. they're sneaky like that.
i critiqued facemeet on another post. facemeet is even worse than citydate. not even worth going into here.
mathdoctor is advertisement city. they like to change the look of their site about every month in hopes of hiding the fact their site is useless on the inside. weak search tools. horrible site navigation. advertisements on every page. fake profiles. takes forever to get a photo approved. these guys are the worst of the worst.
houstonconnect needs to clean up their site. it's too disorganized with links everywhere, useless images, and tedious sign up process. i hate sites that require you fill out your profile when you sign up. search is ok, but can see less than 10 profiles at a time. be prepared to scroll a lot.

Who ever posted this has obviously never used Citydate.com. They dont have fake members and they definetly have a great website. Lets clear something up hear it is very unprofessional to down talk other peoples websites especially when you have not fully used them. I am a member at citydate and there site is great my member profile name is bigar. I fully disagree with the below message. I have not found porn members. citydate offers one year profiles for free and they have way more features than chicagomixer. PLus citydate site is very easy to use and I have met some nice people thier. The graphics of the site look awesome and very professional. This site is definetly run by experienced web people.

We wanted to let our users know that you guys spoke up and we listened. It's been an entire year in the making, but we have rebuilt Matchdoctor.com from the ground up!
New features include:
- Better layout and easy navigation
- Thumbnails!
- Winks!
- More in depth profile questions
- Detailed search (search by every criteria)
- Mail filtering
- "Filtered" mail folder (so you can still look at mail that was filter/blocked)
- Daily photo approvals (we're currently doing this now)
There are still more features in the works after we relaunch. We want to add a who's viewed you and who you have viewed list, message boards, and more!

Glenn, yes there are lots of free site's that allow you to contact another person or member, if you become one that is. However there are many site's for free where there is no fee.Also there are sites that allow another person to contact you. It can work either way and where you dont have to pay...period.
Selecting the right one can be tricky at time s and although we sometimes feel an emptiness and craving to want to be discovered, we must put ourself in the fron of the line and that mean's paying the big guy in order to meet the lil gal.

Yes Glen, CityDate.com is totally free and I've met a couple chics there, itsjustcoffee.com is free too, but not as many people and hard to navigate, both are free.

I just read this thread, but I totally disagree with this persons perspective in all cases. Also seems to be a bit of a attitude towards the CityDate.com site and none towards the Chicagomixer? Do I smell spammer..LOL. site owner? This site is for singles in the dating world, let us rate the sites.
I for one think citydate.com is fine, and I haven't tried the other sites, so not sure about those.

The best that I have seen, and I'm currently a member is by far... SexCraves.com They have it all from what I can see. 2 way matches, photo galleries, video chat rooms and video instant messanger. All for FREE. I've been a memeber for about 6 months now and I've never had to pay for anything. The girls on the site are really hot too.

One other free site that's top notch is www.oasisoflove.com.
They have full-featured search, video chat, customized profiles, private photos, and a whole lot of other features that I haven't tried yet.
They're 100% free. I think they'll stay free because they have google-style text ads.

I know two sites that are completely free, no strings attached. They are "Plentyofish", "Webdate" and "BBW4romance". But I do not find much activity on them. No potential match ups. Of course the new town I'm in is small too. "Plentyofish" even has forums too. But they wont cost a penny.

web dating is easy if you know where to start. there is a free dating site that i know of. its called webdate.com. so far i've had no problems with the girls i've been dating. i think the girls there are real as i've never encountered a fake one. don't be afraid to try out webdating. you'll know when you're talking with fake users.

Okcupid.com is completely free. There is a variety of people on it, though it does tend to be flush with young 20's...There are a number of fun tests and quizzes to while away your time, and your matches can be sorted in a number of different ways...
I met a few good friends there, and my ex (whom i dated over 2 years)...good site.

I'm surprised no one has talked about okcupid.com . That's the best dating site I've used, period, and it's 100% free. They also run crazyblinddate. They have forums, chat, email, the best hi res photo gallery, a journal section, user created tests and games. I've met like 20 people because of it, a lot have turned out to be great friends.
One of the cool things about it is that they encourage use of the site through user generated content and by giving you a completion status. So most girls/guys try to get to 100% complete. But you get there by making a unique and interesting profile. So you get far less, "I'm looking for a laid back significant other who is goal oriented and has a great sense of humor." generic blah blah blah.
