How has COVID impacted your dating? I’m in a profession that is difficult because I’m at high risk in contracting the virus even though I’m vaccinated. Sometime when I tell people what I do they seem to distance myself.

No impact here. I’m a construction worker and outside all day and more than 6 feet from anyone. My highest risk this summer is sunburn.

I found that video is being used a lot more before meeting for the first time. I just started "dating" in person again this past month (July).
I continued to use dating apps through covid but I took a year off from meeting in person anyone new.

I’m more cautious and am online much more since March of 2020. I feel like the community is very active too. It’s nice because I feel there are more average Joe’s out there testing the waters which gives more variety.

With the delta strain increasing and becoming more dangerous I think we’ll have another half year or more of a lockdown starting this Fall. Online dating and chatting will most likely increase and be busy. No matter your profession I predict singles will be online because of limited social interactions. Everyone will be in the same situation for sure.

I’m online dating for all these reasons. It’s still not safe out there.

I don't think the dating world will be back to normal for at least a year or more. The variants of Covid seem to be spreading faster and more dangerously. Bars and clubs can't be fully open for a while. Also, many establishments are putting restrictions on patrons to prove vaccination. This all seems like too much of a hassle to go out.

I agree with all this. I’m a nurse and I’m high risk for Covid even if I’m vaccinated.

I don’t want to be asymptomatic and bring it to my family and friends… and my little nieces and nephews. This fall is going to be bad again — especially for unvaccinated kids.

I feel the impact of Covid. Trying to decide if I can go to a concert indoors in a few months. I still go to bars here and there but only on outside decks. Once fall winter comes I’ll have to see how things are and make a decision from there.
