The first day or two I stayed as a "free" account and of course got a few activity notifications when I hadn't even uploaded a pic or completed all of my profile. After those couple of days I went ahead and upload and completed my profile and got a few more messages that of course you can't even read until buying membership.
Curiosity started getting to me so I did the one month gold membership, even got my profile pics verified status. I didn't use my card as I was waiting on a replacement. Used spouse's card instead and visited the site for another day. Tweaked my profile some but still found very little profiles near my location let alone fewer that were verified. Went to log in today and the site said my account was disabled. I sent email to their instahelp support contact and got the auto response one immediately after I asked why my account was suddenly disabled.
The next response was: "Dear Member,
We regret to inform you that your account will not be reactivated due to violation of our terms of use. Listed below is the reason for the profile termination:
Billing Fraud - Unauthorized billing/purchase (rule: female name on billing) can lead to termination of services.
Please note that this profile has been cancelled and refunded as the purchase was not done by the account holder. Reach out to us if you have any questions and we'll be happy to assist.
Thank you,
Member Support Team"
Apparently because my name was not on the particular card I used. I replied back letting them know the situation of waiting for my replacement card for the same bank account and didn't get anything but the auto-response.
I then requested that my profile be deleted and my card not be renewed for charges and got yet another auto-response that they are working on it.
Still don't see the refund that they said they were doing from the reason email on why my account was disabled.
