I have been on matchcom and lately I have been getting a lot of e mails from Ghana. The frist one was suspicious but I wrote back stating I had no money to send. But this person said she did not wnat my money. But e mails were erratic . Never one on a weekend, I usually had to write first. Finally I pulled the plug and that is when I got flooded with e mails from Ghana. Some asked for money up front like for money making schemes. Ghana is the new Russia.

Did you report the profile to match.com? They are good at removing a suspicious profile when there members complain about it. An easy way to spot these fakers are their crappy english language skills!

did these girls say that theyre living with their mum in Ghana because their dad passed away? I've talked to 3 women like this who have had the same story. It's really messing with me and making me wonder if this is a joke or not. Or even if it's a good site to be on.

Hi, Yes, Ghana is the hotbed for online dating scams. I am a foreigner living and working in Ghana since the last couple of years. This topic even appears in local newspapers frequently. 99% profiles are fake, created by young teenage "GUYS" at their local internet cafe! Be safe! Jerry.

Ghana is the new Russia.

what u should say is Ghana is the New Nigeria .
unlike Ghana who don`t have much good looking girls to show off , Russia actually do have the most beautiful girls in the world and it is true that thousands of gorgeous Russian girls marry to ugly men from all over the world ! Evil
while Ghana is probobly at the bottom of pit ugliness !! , i am sorry to say but since you see it fit to scam us pretending to some chic from Europe then i am going to tell it like it is ! Idea

you ve gotten it all wrong,Ghana itself have if not least,no idea about scams,it is the Nigerian community in Ghana who are scamming people all over, because Nigerians are now well known about these scams and they ranked number in the world,so now they use Ghana as their country and portray to be like Ghanaians,Nigeria is not far from Ghana and there are about a million Nigerians living in Ghana, those of us who have been on the net for a long know this... if you want to find out these check the origins of the names they give to you to send money to, and trace the originality of the name which people uses those names, you will end up in a tribe in Nigeria, alot of people have tried this and haave come to realise this that they are nigerian community in Ghana

I use a popular dating service. I ask up front where the girls are located. about three quarters of the girls with profiles that say they are in NY finally say they are in Ghana. As soon as I do that, I report them as scammers

I too have found scammers to be a huge problem on dating sites... It seems like every hour a new "woman" is chatting me up on IM or through the mail system....same story every time...my father is dead, I'm living with my mother...yep you guessed it...the woman is in Ghana! This despite the fact that all these so called women's profiles state they live somewhere in the U.S. I'm getting sick and tired of this crap....whenever I get an IM or mail and the word Ghana shows up in it....I report the person to Lavalife as a scam. I used this dating site 5 years ago, and I didn't evey get one tenth as many responses from "Russia" as I have with those from Ghana. It's sickening.

Stay away from women in this country. I wish I could post pictures on here of the onea I've chatted with unfortunately I cant. They change there names periodically amd send the same pics, one of them sent me 4 different names with the same likeness. I sent the pics to another young lady I was talking with here and there, she replys telling me she knows them and all of them have completely different names. So I busted them. I have never heard so many b/s excuses in my life. They must think American men are stupid.

They all want money for passports or food stuff as thy call it.i tell them to take a picture with my name on a piece of paper, they photo shop it. If you ask for a video chat they dont have a webcam or it is broken. So I offered one a webcam and she wanted a new computer all the way around and a iPhone 5.

These chicks are all fakes and scammers.

Yea, me too. On 7/11/2014 soon as I got my account setup on Match.com I suddenly received a chat request.

I checked out the profile and no picture, 34 years old location Kentucky, and she likes the NY Yankees.

Stared to chat then was asked if I had a Yahoo account was and gave her the address. Started to chat and was told that she is a mixed race and her father was from Canada and her mother was from Accra Ghana. She was living with her father till he passed away at the age of 18 and now living with her mother in Ghana and attending school to become a Nurse. She is graduating in a few weeks. I asked her birthday and was told it was on the 16th of this month. And is becoming 34 (I thought I entered my birthday at sign up). Asked if she can send her pictures and boy she was HOT!!! To my surprise she was White Caucasian, I got my heart pumping!!! You know I’m a guy....
anyway, been chatting with her I felt some of the things don’t add up she was born to a Christian home and told me that she will be a wonderful wife and to be faithful and sending me long love letters etc. you know the BS that is any guys dream…
We exchanged cell #s and I had a good time. She told me she likes to see me meaning she wanted to come to the states to visit me. Long story short we ended up talking about me going over there to meet her family and see how things go. The following day she asked me if I was thinking anything for her birthday and I told her that I would have sent her something if I knew sooner but she replied that things are different here than in the US so she preferred funds, asked how much? $500....wow average income is like $10K a year so that is a hell of a lot of money. By this time we were on Skype but the connection was bad or something she had her mic off but she told me that she had problems with her mic, the picture was choppy at times. The girl on the screen was the same as the one in the photo she had sent from what I can tell. We continued to chat over yahoo. So she told me if I can send the fund via Western Union and she gave me her information. She suggested that I can do it over the internet, which I didn’t know. She knew too much how to get money sent to her. Asked about her bank account and was told she doesn’t but her uncle has one. Now I knew that was a scam but I wanted to play along and have some fun. She wiggled her cute ass in front of the camera so I though what the hell I will send her $200 just for the fun.

You know coning the con artist might be a little fun.

So after her receiving the $200 she had called me thanked me and told that her MUM (mother) was very pleased, in a not Canadian accent spike that fact she had lived there from childhood to 18 but in a deep accent she have spoken to me.

Well I still communicate with her to get the kick out of it telling her I love her and me giving her the BS making her feel like it something is going to happen. Well I am enjoying the hell out of it and like to see how it goes playing her or my games on her……
Well I did get other Chat request from other Ghanaians and one of them sent me her picture that looked exact person in a different clothing and pose. Go figure!
Well if you have the time to get the laugh out of it have some fun conning the con artist!!!

The pattern
1. They are from out of state from you.
2. They will chat over Match for a few lines then ask you to move over to Yahoo or something.
3. They tell you that they live in Ghana and American or Canadian Father passed away
4. Now living with Mum and attending Nursing School.
5. They are already fallen in love with you, although your profile is not a match with you.
6. For the kick ask for their birthday 9 out of 10 they will tell you it is next week

Be safe Have fun!!!!

TN

Met him on match.com and he introduced himself as Sgt. goodwill from USA in mission at Iraq, wife died and had son with a friend in Ghana. We chatted for month including his son Perry on cam. It happened that he found a briefcase of gold and wanted to ship to me but had no way then he brought the idea that his friend in Ghana knows Ghana Customs and can pass gold there to me, it started with few $ until I paid almost $46,000 during the process until I found on the web that it scam and I contacted the Ghana Serious Fraud Crime Unit(info.ghanapolice at consultant.com) and he was arrested and some of my losses recoverd.Beware of scam from Ghana contact officials!

Met him on Skype and he(John) stated he is stationed in Iraq for peacekeeping and it happened that he found a trunck of gold and wanted to send to me but GHANA was the safe place to use. I was contacted by someone claiming to be from Ghana Custom and was supposed to pay fee to receive the box, it started with small payment till I lost $33,000.00

I contacted the USA embassy where I was linked to contact the GHANA Crime Unit (info.ghanapolice at consultant .com) and my case is receiving a favorable response.

Beware of GHANA scam and contact the Ghana authorities.

I have been a subscriber to Match in the past and now I re-subscribed. I can't believe the amount of BS profiles and scammers saying they live in the US somewhere, eventually admit to being in Ghana. I can't tolerate scammers, and I work in internet security. I Phish them as they Phish me. It is easy to be fake like them. Say your a millionaire and have money to spend. They will stick to you like leeches, until they get their profiles deleted. Funny thing is, I called Match to report this and the CS rep denied this ever happens. Can't deny fake profiles Match! Anybody can sign up, get pics from internet, and delete the profile after their done. WTF else to those punks have to do? Eat dirt?

Oh boy. I wish I had read this. It sounds too familiar. I met a girl on a dating website and I opened a separate email account to talk to her in gmail. Stupid me, I accidentally used my real name before I realized it. She is from Ghana and is a Swedish/Ghanian heritage and is a professional designer who lives with her mom and brother after the divorce of her parents. She is pretty cute and she hasn't asked me for money or anything. We are just casually chatting but I made it clear that her goals from her website were different from mine and I wasn't going to lead her on. So far it has been fine. I'm not sure what to expect now. It doesn't seem like a scam. I guess I'll keep an eye out on it.

Yep. Sure enough. I reversed searched the pictures she sent me and came up with a totally different person on FB. 'She' used this girls picture. I sent this girl a message telling her what had happened. I deleted my e-mail account but am kicking myself knowing that this person has my real name now. Stupid.

Hey Guys, I don't have to tell my story because I would just be repeating what everyone else has said. The birthdays, father passed away, Mum is in the hospital...etc, etc. DON'T SEND ANY MONEY! They are very beautiful and great to talk to so have fun with it. Here's a good trick I used last night when I got the chat request, mid thirties, Huston, Texas, Right! Ask if they're from Ghana and they will usually tell you yes. Then I was asked if I had chatted with other women from Ghana... answered yes and the chat ended that quick. They have all lost their phone and if they do have one their out of minutes and can't call... so would you send money. Oh, don't use Ghanaairtime big rip off.

I've got a good one from Ghana ongoing at the moment. Came from mate1. Profile says she was from Philedelphia. Turns out she's from Amsterdam but living in Ghana and guess what, training to be a nurse. Also her father was killed in an accident. We've chatted on Skype for a couple of weeks. Very pleasant. Apparently she's real, not like the others. Last night she video called on Skype. Turned out to be pretty explicit. Don't mind that. She can show me whatever she wants. Said it was to show she was real. Odd think was, the sound wasn't working. She was certainly the same girl as in the photos from a very specific tattoo.

And finally today it happened. She wants a Promise Ring to show the honesty in our relationship. But she doesn't want me to send her one, she wants me to send her £100 so she can buy one because it will be quicker. To prove she's even more real, she sent me a copy of her Ghanaian voting card. I'm surprised that overseas nurses on a one year training contract get the opportunity to vote. I'll keep you posted.

Every Ghana Woman I have talked too or seen a pic of are all model like, which, well, raises a red flag with me. Some "fall in love" with me in a matter of minutes.... some take a day or two to "fall in love" with me, and they don't know anything about me (other than the fact that I have a job)! They want money for food stuff (yet none of them look impoverished); they want money for a passport or to purchase a flight ticket; some send emails, and if you play along long enough, the next following shots will show less and less clothing....even to the point of showing their private parts (My, I do believe they are sex models). Those who send emails will wait for you to respond to them before sending another email and more enticing pics). They follow up by saying something like "enough letters...it's time for us to meet."

Moreover, whether by email or by IM, they talk about trust and other values that should be prevalent in everyone and quote the common saying (which I read from many--and I mean many) Ghana women: "unless you have these ingredients, you cannot succeed." WOW!!!! Can any of these women be genuine?

Finally, I have read these responses from other anonymous persons, and I find myself saying to myself, "Some woman tried this with me!" Gold that could be transferred, food stuff, iphones, computers, passports, visas,....you name it! I foolishly sent money for someone to board a plane (This one was from Nigeria), and when I was inquiring why she never got here, she responded that she was robbed)! How foolish I was, for that was hard earned money that I could have used for a vacation. And one more note, they could care less if you are married! Let me end by saying this: I hope this message wakes up anyone who continues to be naïve about scammers. Use your hard-earned money wisely, and quit giving it to those who make dishonest livings! These women love many men (those who are naïve enough to send money to them), so don't be deceived into believing you're their ONLY man!

Hi,

I have a question for you. It isn't about dating but it is about something very similar to your statement about the women from Ghana and their mum and dad passing away in an auto accident at the age of 18 years old. She is living with her Grandmother and has been living wither her since the death of her parents. This is very different and yet it is very similar. I was caught in the snare of sending money, because she isn't working but she is going to get her certification on hair stylist. She told me that she and her Grandmother only have milk and bread for their daily food. But in this situation I met her on a site called "meet me", and the way she told me made me realize that she was serious. Her first statement was she wasn't into any drama and she don't play any games but she was interested in talking to me. I agree to chat with her and she told me to go to this site called "hangout", there she told me about love and what it is suppose to be and what love is really like, we talked about everything. I was like "hmmm okay" she seems promising. I saw pictures of her and I was blown away by her beauty. She told me she had one boyfriend and he cheated on her to the point of a painful discovery of his cheating. My thought was could she be "cat fishing?" I was very skeptical and I asked her to send me a picture with her standing with a note saying my name followed with "this is me with her name and date it. She did just that. I asked for an I.D. card and she sent that. She has done everything I requested without hesitation. But I am still skeptic and I'll tell you why. In her country there is a tradition that they do before they get married called "I.N.F.", which mean "Inform the Family." According to her they go into the village and inform the elders the "King" of the village and all the family members, kind of like when a man asks his lady to marry him and if she says "yes" she announces it to her family and friends about her engagement and everybody is excited and happy for her and they want to meet the husband to be. So, in her situation they go and have a meeting about the news and agree that she should be married to him. And after that they have the celebration called "I.N.F." But here's where it get suspicious for me. The "groom" is suppose to send a certain amount of money for her celebration. Her Grandmother told me that he "groom" is to pay for the beer (50 cases) goats for the feast (five goats), the clothing material the place of the ceremony/celebration. The price that is paid will be determined on the what all she can do as far as the ceremony is. For instance, if I send oh, say, $15,000.00 it will be a pretty good size ceremony. So the larger the money the bigger the ceremony. Okay, again, I was skeptic so she had me to look it up on YouTube to prove or show me how it works. Everything seems promising. Oh by the way, she told me that the money don't come to her but to the people who is going to set up the ceremony. OH, BY THE WAY she is rich according to her and her Grandmother. Her dad left her a large sums of money over $20 million in gold. and according to her dad he wanted her to meet someone special and he want her to genuinely fall in love with each other and not only that, all of her property/estate will be signed over to him the "groom". The family lawyer will contact me after the I.N.F., ceremony and sign over all of her property to me and I can get us a home and she can get her passport and visa and do all the necessary paperwork to come to America and be a U.S. citizen and we can live happily together. Now, I said all that to ask this. Can anyone tell me if this "I.N.F., is in fact real or legit or what? because I am getting ready to send the funds over to her (but not directly) so that she can have the ceremony and the family lawyer will contact me thereafter and ask me some questions and then send me the documents of her property/estate and then sign everything of property over to me. He will even ship her gold to me as well to any place I want. I have never heard of anything like this. Honestly, I don't care about her property I just care and love her and I only want to be with her. However, if the money is indeed real then it wont hurt to pay some of the bills. I just want to know if the I.N.F is real or am I being taken advantage of. She asked me for my phone number, I gave it to her and she directly called me just to hear my voice and after that we were back chatting again she told me that I had a very nice voice. I have talked to her three times already.

Thank you for your input and support and information. It will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. She got angry with me last night because I told her that I was going to ask someone here in America about the "inf" to prove that it is legit to my friend. She told me not to do that because there are many different cultures in Ghana and she named off a few and they wouldn't know about it because they have their own way of celebrating someone getting married. And that raised a flag of warning in me. So this is why I am really asking someone about this. If you have any information on this tradition in Ghana I really would like to know.

Thank you sincerely "Jack".

same as many here.. now contact thru email and skype.. she in ghana with mum.. dad is dead . webcam freezes up , but did see her on it , no volume to hear her either , ex beat her and divorced, look for older mature man now.. i offer to buy webcam and send to her and she refuse this, say she not want me to spend my money on her , she seems honest and upfront with true honest intentions but my guard is up , i told her i will visit her next month to see if we do have the chemistry for marriage , she seemed happy about this and i feel same..i do not like to bear false witness against anyone or to be judgemental until i know this for fact, she wanted me to remove my post on dating site we met on and i did,and then she asked for my password to it and she would remove it..which put red flag up for me,i told her she need to trust me on this and she agree,, so..needless to say i confused but im not a dumbass either.. ive been on other culture dating sites and visited the country twice and felt used by the women i met.. so.. i never do that again...anyway.. any constructive criticism would be welcomed.. thanks in advance... me

I met a special one tonight. I had 3 girls wanting to chat with me my on gmail with the same stories, live with mum, dad is dead. I called them all out and 2 of them just stopped responding because I think they knew I busted their scam plans. BUT there is one girl who told me they were full of it and she was real. She offered to send me pics and she sent them but I told her I still wasn't convinced. So I kindly asked her to webcam me, which she did. There she was, same girl in the photos, talking to me on the webcam. She still wanted to convince me she was only looking for love. So she asked me if it was ok if she called me. She did, she had an accent but spoke decent english. As a matter of fact she called me twice telling me to please trust her and that all she wants is a trusting relationship. I am still unsure about her. It doesn't help that she is very cute and attractive. I plan on playing along until the red flags start coming in but for now she still wants to convince me she only wants a relationship and a loving partner. Just to clear things up, I don't ever plan on sending money even if it's a $1 but I am very curious how this is going to turn out.
What are your thoughts on this? Does this sound like a scam or what????

I am glad that I am not the only one seeing this. I have tried multiple sites most all for free at the beginning I was dumb and paid for a couple. I would say that 90% of the "girls" are in Ghana. They tell me because once I am suspicious I make a comment how African women turn me on, then they tell me they are in Ghana! This has been happening on every dating site I go to now. It has become a game for me to see if I can find a true American, so far I am batting 0! If I want the truth you play the game for awhile they say how they love you so much! (after 5 minutes on a chat?) then in a couple of days and they say they are in lets say New York, or L.A. most common places. I say I used an internet sniffer on them as we were chatting and did a reverse Ping and see that they are NOT in this country, WOW do they start cussing me out and say if I don't trust them they are leaving me now. I ask again to tell me the truth where are you, they get upset and I never hear from them again. LOL I like to mess with them for a change and play the game back at them. Some times they think I am about ready to sent a $1,000 then I hit them up with that! Oh what fun!

Anyone that falls for any of these scams deserves to lose their money, its so obvious all the time. If someone you have never met asks you for money then say no...simple. If anyone asks for any personal information like bank details or pin numbers then say no. If you can't manage that then don't go on the internet or use a phone.

They even ask for money, $100., $150., one ask me for a Diamong ring. They all said they love you.

Match is not the only site with fakes, two others are worst. Flirt is mainly same site but I spoke with a lot of women there ( at least they claim to be women ), 99% of the so called women gave me the same stories like everyone here is claiming. I just wanted to give a heads up to you all in case anyone might consider going there!!!

and for jack I had a woman on match talked to her one night next day she asked me to marry her and she told me I needed to send $200 to get things started. That money was to get the approval from the tribal council and I also needed to send a ring or send money for ring. she claimed she needed ring so this would let everyone in her tribe know that she was spoken for. When I spoke with her the night before I had given her my phone number she called me after she told me about the wedding plans. her voice was very high pitch she sounded very young it did not match the pic she sent me so I just stopped contact with her. She was calling me at all hours drove me nuts until I blocked her if I we're you jack I would just block her and move on.

Only trying to help.

Received an email a couple of months ago from a gorgeous woman in Ghana we have spoken a few times on the phone and get on like a house on fire. I know a lot of people say keep away but not all people from ghana are crooks. She is coming over to the UK in a few weeks time, the trouble is the flights are so expansive because not many airlines fly there. I know people say don't send money to anyone you have never met but how can you meet someone if they can't afford to fly here. I have offered to pay the £3400 for her flight and hopefully it will be the best £3400 I have ever spent. I will keep you posted wish me luck

I wouldn't send anything!!! 3400 are you kidding? You will never see her! This same scam is happening to me lately, this woman uses suzzy.jack as her Skype name, she lives with her mother, her father died, oh and she also sent pics of her in her wedding dress. I guess she got dumped at the alter. Yeah right! I won't send this girl a dime. I'm going to play along with it though. Her name is "Portia". Her Yahoo messenger name is "Christmass, I think. Whatever you do people, don't send any money!!! I'm thinking about asking her for money.

I've been on several sites now and find women with US cell numbers and all kinds of pictures of themselves. They tell you they are in the US and they will send you all kind of text telling you what you want to hear. You can tell they don't have good English skills. They even call but you can tell they are foreign. They start asking for money and they even give you US info so you can send money to them through money gram.

I still can't figure out, why Ghana. What is it about that country?

I string them along just for someone to chat with, some of them want to really talk for a bit before hitting you up with their scam story. Even then I play along until I get their address, and then I claim that my company is sending me on a business trip to their country in a few weeks and I'll just bring them some money then. I never hear from them again!

As Tim Casey rightly pointed out, Ghana is a safe and secure place, and our preoccupation is not internet scams. It is unfortunate that some people from other African countries purport to be Ghanaian when they send such requests or emails. I can pointedly say that about 99% of the scam emails originate from Nigeria and not from Ghana. They use Ghana to create confidence in unsuspecting users since Ghana is generally known to be a peaceful, respectable and hospitable nation. I have lived in Ghana for over 20 years before moving to Australia, and can confidently say that Ghanaians have better things to do than waste time on dating sites in search of people to scam, and more intelligent than use same, similar or repetitive stories in an attempt to scam people. Save Ghana the insults and condemnations and rather do more underground research into whoever sends you an email than tag them as coming from Ghana just because they purport to be coming from Ghana.

Razz i was on an online site and met many women from Ghana. Not a single one was able to show me live feed. And the one that showed me live feed said she was an officer in the USA Army. But she made a mistake. She said she was a staff sergeant which is e6 and she said e9. I was in the army. So I played with her a bit. It would seem that online dating is not the way to go anymore. There is one chick I am playing with now..... But I actually feel good with the chats... But today she asked for 1600dollars for a birthday.. lol ... So I felt her out. Then she came back and said it is ok send what you can... But she told me she was rich.... If she has a gold mine why does she need my money?! Yeah, it is time to delete all of these accounts there is no point if every boday is from ghana... That defeats the purpose anyways. and they all have the same stories. just help for the kid or rent or flight or bad ex.... bla bla bla//// I give up this is *censored*!!!

Hi I don't know if I am being scammed. This is from a cupid.com site. So I called her out on it in the beginning that the sites warn of ghana scammers. The pattern sounds similar nursing school, birthday is in 2 weeks, instead of the father it's the mom that died. It's not a passport scam because they are they are cheap 100 bucks. She's not getting any money because I don't have any. She is also not asking for it. She doesn't plan on asking for it. Already grilled her not to try to scam me. If I do buy her a plane ticket it's like 1300 bucks and I would make sure I go through a travel agency with buyer protection. She did the cam which was choppy no sound said bad Internet there. She tried to call me I missed her call. She already knows she will need to verify herself to the utmost. So I don't know how she is gonna get me. She always uses 'my dear' when she speaks to me. So far I think she is wonderful person and may not be a scam. Scammers give a bad wrap to the real thing. Just odd seeing white people or mixed in an African country. I will certainly ride this out. I think all dating site people are scammers. People want to come to the US I think. That's the real scam better opty. And for the record Russian chick's are the badest bishes in the world. I'll buy that for a dollar. I'm talking to spanish chick's through traslators. The woman of the world are way Bader than American chicks. So I'm try not to fall for 1. Try to have like 4 or 5 bad azz girls and 1 of them will be real and work out. I think it's fun. They aren't getting any money from me so as long as you have backups you won't get hurt. It's fun believing that these dime pieces are real. So enjoy it. And don't send them money for any reason at all. Especially on some last minute sht. Otherwise it's a fantasy waiting to come true. It's fun for me. You can't squeeze blood from a turnip. All woman are scammers in some way or form. The snatch is the bait

Haha - I'm talking to three Ghanian women this very minute. Always, always the same story - grew up in the USA or Canada or the UK and are now in Ghana because mum/dad/uncle/aunt are ill/dead and they always ask for your hangout id within three or four exchanges

Three things about the usernames too - they either have 'love' in the user name, or they use a full name (sandra james, brenda roberts etc) or they use their full gmail address.

My advice is have some fun with them - play along. Remember they're working, so you're wasting their time and see how angry they get when they realise you're playing them - it's hilarious every time.

Ghana is the new Russia.

what u should say is Ghana is the New Nigeria .
unlike Ghana who don`t have much good looking girls to show off , Russia actually do have the most beautiful girls in the world and it is true that thousands of gorgeous Russian girls marry to ugly men from all over the world ! Evil
while Ghana is probobly at the bottom of pit ugliness !! , i am sorry to say but since you see it fit to scam us pretending to some chic from Europe then i am going to tell it like it is ! Idea

American women are also being scammed by these men. We think we are talking to a handsome European man with the nice European accent which I think they fake their accents also!

I was waving but she didn't wave back. She also said she loves me and she didn't want money. Until a few days ago.Does anyone want to share any of the photos of the women ? I have caught two or three by finding the women's photos they were sending on Porn Pics.

I am J in the post above. Yes it is scam. My girls name was Florence Love the pics she sent were an exotic white girl. Like a young angina jolie. I ask her to write my name on a piece of paper and hold it too your face and take a selfie. That's when I never heard from them again. So the birthday, stream video no mic and bandwidth issues, dead father or mother, nurse about to graduate, asking for no money, calling you and saying 'my dear', not using the letter I instead they say 'am' I is understood I guess. That the pattern. I would make all online dating sites have them record a video saying your name and sending it to you. My dominican chick called me up through whatsapp and we did a video call. It's the most satisfying thing to know that the person you are talking to is real. After a few days of chatting do it. SCAAAAMMMMM!!!!!!!!

Same thing here. Exact same story father dead living with mother this one calls me everyday several times a day and we do video chat but no voice.
Beautiful girl I'm just an average man
She wants me to send funds Western Union to start relocation process.
It's killing me, I want a believe , but I know it's a scam

.

Well I am from Texas. My scam was that the man was from a town in Texas two hours from me and had a British accent and a recent widow with a three year old daughter who needs a mother. I am 39 and never had kids and was so ready to be a mom to this little girl! He even had me talk to his daughter on the phone telling me she was hungry. He said he needs money to feed his daughter. So they bring kids into the scams also. I said sorry but I dont have money to send. I knew it was a scam because he was a millionaire and asking me for 3,000 dollars. He did not scam me financially but he did scam my heart. I was so hurt over it that my mother was also hurt and had a mini stroke.

My soon to be ex is going through this right now. I proved the first one was a fake and he is still talking to her. Now he is talking to another one who is saying she is from Ghana! He is extremely gullible and falls for anything. This one claims to be studying nursing. I searched the first one’s picture and it turned out to be a porn star, I can only imagine who this new one is. The first one calls herself Mariam Earl and this new one is Sandra Love. I guess Love gets used a lot as a surname. Please beware of these two women. My husband seems to be acting desperate for some reason and extremely gullible. I will prove the second is a fake too and I know he will still be talking to both of them.

I have an unusual relationship with a scammer.
She has a Ghana phone. She lives in Spain, with her "brother". She is always available, and swears that she is not trying to scam me.....
Of course, I don't believe her. She will send any picture I ask her to, But that voice in my head is screaming at me. I think she is using multiple devices, and multiple sites, to communicate.
Her story matches, but just barely.
I usually can be done with them fairly easily, but this one is tough. I don't want to be wrong.

I recently met an attractive woman on Plenty Of Fish. She gave me her phone number, which was an Atlanta area code (I am in KC). Soon after, she asked that we use Hangouts to communicate. Her profile disappeared from Plenty if Fish. She explained that she was form Ghana and finishing nursing school in a few weeks. All she wanted to talk about was relationships and marriage. A bit sudden for someone who knew nothing about me and as it turns out, had no clue what part of the country I was in. She sent a few more photos. I read some previous posts here and came to the conclusion that she was probably not who she said she was. I asked for her to write my name on a piece of paper and take a picture with it. I have not heard back from her. Thanks for the previous posts.

My girl is actually from my local area So. Cal but is currently in VA with an aunt. She lives in Cali with grandma and parents live in Ghana. I just starting chatting with her and she says she'll be back home next week. I'm trying to push her to meet up to see if she's for real. Since I know the city really well where she claims she's from, I'll have a little fun and try to make her slip up by asking about favorite restaurants and things and where she goes shopping. She probably didn't think she'd find someone that could call her out on stuff, but if it turns out she's real that would be awesome.

Hey ask her if the taxes are all paided up on the inheritence? I know because I have been talking to the same person as you and you will never see her or meet her I was talking to her for two years . The story you just wrote is exactly the same as the one I was talking too. Dont send money. You will reget it believe me. I got burned for 55k before I came to my senses.

Quote by: Anonymous

Got scammed big time. She had me hook line and sinker. Met her on a dating app. Went to hangouts. Her dating app said she was from louisana . When we got chatting she said she was from boston. Told me her brother was a preacher in africa. Her mom lived in germany. And she was a interior designer in boston. Her name is HARRIET PIKE. she didnt want money but wanted to come live with me in canada. Then her mom got sick in germany and needed 700 euros for meds. Hooked. Sent 700 euros which cost 1000 canadian union express. Then her mom dies and is to be buried on ghana africa. Needed to pay for casket. Wasnt paying anymore until i had proof of her id. So she showed me an american passport. Looked her up on google and all kinds of internet search
No HARRIET PIKE ANY WHERE IN THE USA. Then she said her passport was being held by a man who said she was promised to by her mother.only way to get out of it was to pay him 5000. Wasnt doing it . Told her to go to embassy. Never heard from her again.

All the stories that I've heard in this forum are very similar, but I've been talking with a woman from Ghana which appears to be the same person that everybody has been talking about. She also contacted me, but directly on messenger and requested me to meet her on Whatsapp. Ecentially, she've told me the same story, but she sounds at some moments talking in a sincerity way, promising she'll never leave you and making you feel as the most loved man in the world. She also has asked me for money. At the beginning, I was completely blind about what that person was trying to do, later, my eyes were finally opened. Off course, I'm not going to send any money, no matters how truthful sounds her story. I feel pain for that person bacause, a so smart, beautiful and well educated lady, could have been a great doctor, lawyer or something else, but sadly, this is not the case. I really wish that person may open her eyes and change her life and may see that she still has the chance of living without faking others, doing the right things. I really wish the best for her.

Regarding to the same lady I was before talking about, many times, as men, we close our eyes and don't want to see the reality, even when we are aware that our money is in danger. I'm not going to reveal anything about this lady, I'm just trying to make go into sense to those men who just see a pretty face, a beautiful body, sweet words and don't see the escencial in a woman, her heart, good intentions, a pure spirit and a real good woman. If I had the opportunity of visiting Ghana I surely talked to that lady and with respect and well treatment of a gentleman, I'd talk words to her that it'd make her understand that the right way and the right life always is better, because at the end, if she doesn't change her way, just loneliness and an empty life will be what expects for her. Men should no send any money to people who just want an easy way of living, without seeing how many hearts will be broken and how many pockets from good and well intentioned men will be empty. Playing games with others is not a good way for an easy money, no mattering how bad we do to those people. What we do now, afects our future, so what we sow, is what we will receive later. Lady, you still has the chance of changing your life, try it, the result will be different for you, a better one, just do it, you can still do it, please, do it.

Yes she is a busy woman, i spent the last 5 months online with her , spent money and received same story, other then the fact she would call me almost every day for online sex. Sometimes was a lot of fun ,after 90 times getting her wet on line it just became empty and i could see it was all about the money, so i really gave it to her two nights ago, then when she said she was in love i dumped her. Ya its mean and i miss her ,but after that long was on to her and i think that saying that to me would keep me around.. If anyone wants to share photos im in. She needs to be stopped.

It is clearly a scam. If you are convinced that it’s not, then send refundable ticket to her. I bet you will never see her.

I'm currently in connection with Angela Sincere, we've video called and I would wave then she wave back. She's very beautiful claims her computer is old so voice and speakers don't work.
We chat on hangouts, she said her mom lives in Manhattan and she's in Ghana with her uncle finishing nursing. She says to me after she's done she wants to start a life with me and love and support me.
She compliments me a lot that it feels to good to be true, also said her birthday is tomorrow but hasn't asked for money.
Her pictures are model like, but it's the same girl in video call I even blew a kiss and she did it back.

My encounter is a little different, when Beatrice contacted me her profile stated that she was 35 living in Franklin, AL. After we moved from the site and were trading e-mails, I found out that she was visiting her Grandmother in Ghana and had been there a few weeks. She wasn't studying anything and claimed to work as a waitress in Franklin. Her father abandon her and her mother after she was born but her mother was strong and raised her to have a good heart.

From the beginning I was suspicious, I lived in Columbus, GA and know that area a little bit.

Strike 1: I asked her if her blood ran Crimson (University of Alabama) or if she was an Auburn fan, no clue what I was talking about, okay that?s fine, I thought everyone in Alabama would understand that but hey she?s not a sports fan.

Strick 2: I asked her if she flew from ATL to Ghana and she told me "No, I flew out of Tuscaloosa". Tuscaloosa is a regional airport without any international capability, I even tried to give her an out and told her that even Birmingham would be closer than Tuscaloosa. She didn't take.

This is when I started to look her up online. I have access to many background check services because of my job.

Strike 3: Not only could I not find a driver's license, voter?s registration or even a speeding ticket, I couldn?t find her last name anywhere in the state.

She sent me photos (three in all) and I even did video with her, I could tell that it was the same woman in the photographs. Beautiful woman.

Strike 4: Her "Granny's" computer was old and it kept locking up on her, I could see her and she could see me and I could hear her but she couldn't hear me. It was also dark, very dark.

Strike 5: I asked her how long she intended to stay in Ghana and she said that until she feels like coming back to the states, I remind her about the 6 week visa restriction and what she would do if she got caught and she said that "I'll handle that if it happens".

Strike 6: Looked up the address she gave me to ship the iPhone, I looked it up on line and somebody got scammed using that address before.

She was good, if she was working me over she knew exactly what to say and actually had me offering things to make her life easier. I sent her an iPhone 6S, no big deal I had a few of them hanging around that were unlocked so she could use it. I sent it to her USPS Express, then she told me that she would need some money to pay the customs duty on it, not totally unexpected but she also said she would like some money for "Girly things and Internet Fees" I started to hit her up with the questions regarding why I couldn't find anything on her, why she flew from Tuscaloosa when they don't fly internationally. She flipped out about how I didn't trust her and that I expected her to share her entire life story when I didn?t share anything with her. I asked her for a copy of her Passport ID Page and she said that she's going to find a place to scan it and send it to me. She told me don't bother with the "Girly things and Internet" that she would handle that herself. I told her that I had to go and she kept sending messages on Hangout.

I'm not 100% sure she's a scam but after last night, that feeling shot up to 99%. I'm holding the 1% because she told me that she didn't feel comfortable sharing erotic photos of herself and I couldn't find her photo doing the reverse lookup online. Of course that doesn't mean much, those search tools are easy to fool. She has never said that she loved me that she was looking for the right partner to spend the rest of her life with and that she would return to the states if she had a reason to.

We'll see if she wants to continue after last night, she usually hits me up after 8:00 in the evening. If she can produce any of the information I requested we'll see if she's a SCAM or not. I'm not holding my breath, it just seems to fit all the other models that are posted here.

I am a Nigerian living in the UK. I know without a doubt that Nigerians are capable of these schemes. I would also like to mention that despite these fraudulent activities, the perpetrators use images of indigenous Ghanaian women. So if you are serious about getting these choices of women, then it is worth making a trip to the motherland and take matters into your own hands

Latest Gold scam from woman from Accra Ghana on Ashley Madison!!

Watch out for a gorgeous blond woman from Accra Ghana.

Goes by the name of Belinda Hamilton. She approached me on Ashley Madison and is age 37 from Toronto. Turns out she is in Accra Ghana.

Tells me she lost her home in hurricane Micheal and briefly stayed at her friends' place in "Toronto". Now in Accra looking after her mother who is dying of cancer, and has no money. Her dad was murdered, in 2010 and left her lots of gold, held in security but needs $ 10,000 US to cover the 8 years of arrears so she could get access to it.

Found her pic on a site for scammers could also be going by the name Belinda Souls and/or Rhoda Naa?

Have taken this up with the people at the Ashley Madison site, and have since suspended my account.

Was contacted by Beautrice Effei who siad she was a nurse from Ghana interning in US. Several months in SPring Hill FLorida where I live close to and why she contacted my thru adult frined finder., and currently six weeks in Atlanta, but was supposed to bus back to Springhill tomorrow 11/12/18 to meet up this the interns still supposedly at a SpringHill hospital. Pictures were beautiful and there was even one with a sign saying HI, my name and a heart with an arrow thru it. I asked for a selfie taken in the bathroom mmirror and I got one. SO far it was believable. I actually talked to her on the phone using the hangout app. Said she was 31 and would be 32 on 11/16/18. Had been in a two year relationship that ended badly and also lost a three year old duaghter who passed away. I hould have done what I did sooner but siince I was still apprehensive about her reality I asked her to talk a photo i front of the hospital she wat at. I was trying to thing of something that could not be readily avail in a group of pictures like the nurse shots were and the odd ones she did send. She did not send the outside shot at the hospital instead she sent another show of her in uniform in a hallway and it was not a selfie..someone would of had to taken it. I finally said, since there still was not real quickly taken photo, even the one with the name held up was the net day fro when I asked and I fugured it was photoshopped. anyway she always wore a pink watch so wilin a few min of getting that hallway photo I asked her point blanky after telling her that the internet was full of ghana women scams posts..I said for her to has quick as she could to take a photo of the pink watch, on her are showing the time. I figured there was no way in a few minutes something ould be photo shoppeed. I said this had to be done immediately and forwarded to me. Oh by the way, you know when you forward a cell phone photo that it is usually the same size all the time. whateven the phone is set at and that usually never gets changed by the phone owner. Well that was it, she got mad, siad she did not want all this drama and ssaid she was upset that I did not believe her and make it loook like I was calling her a liar.

SO the immedate watch photo of the watch that was in most all the photos that I was sent with the current time showing...was the killer ...she bailed. I have the 6 or 8 photos is somone wants them. I used 9223private@yahoo.com on Adult Friend finder so you can contact me there, SUCKS, cause she was beautiful and did not have any problem with me, and older white man... Thanks for listening...

I'll keep you posted.

where was the tattoo

I just engaged with a woman from Ghana with the dead father, etc. for a I’d say about 4 hours. She went by the name of Ellen Miller. As with many previously mentioned scams she suggested moving from POF to Hangouts which we did. She hasn’t asked for any $$$ yet, just to chat tomorrow to learn more about each other. Well rehearsed and real slick. Jumped on the true love, meant to happen dialogue pretty quick which shot up my somethings a little off here antenna.

Good luck. Thanks

Okay guys. If within the first 10 minutes she tells you that she from Ghana, she's not real and NO MATTER WHAT, DO NOT SEND MONEY. But at least make it worth your while. Say sure you will but you have to see some more, let's say, revealing pictures of her. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. And if they try to video call, don't pick it up. Or the nightmare will begin. Good luck. Lol

Name given: Nelly (Charisma) Peterson
Location: Orig Illinois, now in Ghana for Nursing
Met: Asianfriendly.org then moved to Hangouts.

Started chatting, she sent some pics, cute and flirty. She was excited to get back to the States, she regretted traveling to Ghana to finish Nursing.

1st RED FLAG - NEVER is on Saturdays EVER, rarely on Sundays

4 months later: Some video chatting (her mic of Course not working) But fun a flirty, said she was strong in her faith values but did enough for me, and I returned some picture favors.
Sent a total of $70 Western Union to <this is wrong> Saliam Caleb <I can't find my reciept> Because her US Passport wouldn't count as ID to pick up a WU.

Last week she sent me some normal photos, one was outside, she had sandles on and was on some dirt terrain. I asked her if she did some hiking, and she was like "My friends and I stayed in" so I google searched the image, and it came back from a photo site coedcherry.com under the model "Josie Model" so I immediately went through and searched ALL her photos and BOOM they were all taken off that site and model!
I confronted her on why she was stealing photos, and she tried to turn it against me with guilt "Why do I have to be so mean and confront this" Her sticking point was her friends "Hacked her phone and POSTED her pictures to the website" Benefit of the doubt, I contacted the webmaster and learned None of those galleries had been updated in forever!

I should just block her and move on, but F`me I want to know why and what the hell is going on.
Any suggestions?

Always trust your gut. IF this lady is claiming to be from America and doesn't know pop icons, BIG RED FLAG.
Also if you right click on her photos, and SEARCH GOOGLE FOR IMAGES, and different sizes come up, follow the links and I bet they were faked in.

You had asked why Ghana the reason is they are no jobs for the young people that get out of school and the ones who do not finish school so they have huge warehouse is full of computers and they do these sweethearts games they go on the Internet looking for single men and also single women who are older and lonely if you can believe it or not some women have been taken for over $90,000 because the scammers would actually send them flowers and profess their love to these women then they would say they were stuck in the orient and needed expense money to live until they can clear their paperwork to get out look it up on the Internet a woman from Australia had spent over 90 grand and the thing was they were using a Colonels picture from the Air Force but finally they had got a crew together it was kind of like the show in America called to catch a Predator well they got together and the woman said she had 25 grand for the guy they had under cover out in the streets and police in the hotel the guy had sent a courier so they would not give the courier the money they followed the courier and then the courier led them to the scammer and six others instead of being a white colonel in the Air Force it was six black men who were the scammers and the ringleader had 80 people in his phone that he was scamming I have really learned a lot then I saw a clip with the president of Ghana asking the young people not to do this but it is so lucrative that more people are doing it instead of less it went from 100,000 reported scams two years ago to 11 million last year I have been doing some reading and investigating since I have been scammed I haven’t been scammed for much 20 bucks it’s actually like paying for an education before I really fall for the girl because she was so So hot I hope this helped in someway my name is Frank you will see my posts

A Gilberta Azu, 35 years old I found on the sex dating site Adult Friend Finder. When she sent me her pics she was gorgeous. But, checking the pics on Google images the pictures were of Sunny Leone. A former porn star. be very careful.

As a single half Nigerian and Half Ghanaian woman living in Ghana, reading these comments is actually very disheartening 😢😢. I know how hard it is for a lot of women here to find suitable partners, especially when you're a woman unwilling to compromise on your principles and settle for the less than bare minimum a lot of the men here have to offer. It's very frustrating that these same men are online messing up our chances of meeting someone decent outside continent but I don't think it's fair to demonize a whole nation of generally great people because of the despicable actions of a few. I doubt it's that hard to ascertain whether someone is genuine or not because these scammers follow the same pattern most of the time and their grammar is consistently horrid.
It's very unfortunate that this is the perception the world has about us but I hope there comes a time where it changes.
There are smart, hard-working, beautiful... People out here and I pray the world gets to see that side of us someday.

Frown Ghana is a high fraud risk country. Online also is a high fraud risk platform and relationships via the internet are particularly susceptible 2 fraud. I was once a victim and would never trust someone I met online from Ghana.

For your safety, I recommend ceasing all financial support immediately and being cautious about sharing personal information. It might be beneficial to report this situation to the relevant authorities or online platforms.
