I've been dealing with the offshoot called Elite Jewish Introductions, and have been scammed by them. I paid a substantial sum of money for a one-year subscription promising 1-3 dates a month. They were always sweet and accommodating on the phone. They sent out a photographer who spent hours taking headshots. The 'profile' they wrote after interviewing me was horrendous, and I had to rewrite the entire thing. The first 'match' was pulled back as an error. They 'mined' other dating services for potential matches, most of the so-called matches were not available or lived outside the area we agreed they'd search, and the two matches (in 4-5 months) that I did receive were either confused or suspicious because of the way they were contacted. One was recruited from Craig's list. They offered to extend my subscription at no charge because of the issues I encountered, then they stopped answering emails or returning phone calls. Now, their website has disappeared. Do Not Do Business with this company!

I was also scammed and it is in dispute with the credit card company. Art was a real smooth talker. I questioned Sam after the first match to a nutcase about the photo not being a professional photo and she said some people don't want to have professional photos done. When the second match came in and it wasn't a professional photo I contacted Art and he said they get people from other sites, which seemed very strange since they supposedly have over 50 men in my area. I attempted to get ahold of them by phone and mail and quickly realized that it was a scam and reported them to my credit card company.

Same thing happened to me. This is a complete scam. Despite all my efforts they will not return my calls or refund my $1500 which they said they would. Has anyone been able to get their money back and if so, how?

I was just informed today by my credit card company that I will not be able to get my money back because Elite says that I did not cancel. I cannot prove that they did not provide services because I don't have a written contract and their site is off line so there is not way to prove anything.
If anyone has anything a photo shot of the site I would love to have a copy of it.
I was going to report it to the attorney general, but I don't have enough information.
Art really knew what he was doing.
