First calm yourself and be confident, dont hesitate about anything. If you find a girl you like go ahead and send here a message, the worse she can say is no and you will never see her again. I usually have a stock message written which is about 2 paragraphs saying hi and explaining what I am about and who I am. I include my interests and what my ideal date is.
The key is though I include a personalized paragraph after the "hi" paragraph but before the "about me" paragraph. This points out things about her profile and what I liked. This is important and it must be before you talk about yourself.
This messaging tip doesn't always work but it usually does more than it does not. It took me several years to fine tune but it is a great way to get the messaging started. One other thing is you do need a well written profile with some good photos of yourself to go along with it. If the message is good but your profile is very basic you will never succeed in getting a reply.

all wind as the filters will stop you getting noticed as women get 1000s of replies and they will just delete most of the messages unread.. even if you look like george clooney you wont get noticed or get blocked by age filters .. so your carefully worked message will go straight to the bin
