I had a positive experience on the site. We live in a time when the base nature of men is applauded while the same in women is reviled. If it's only natural that men primarily seek physical beauty in a mate, it is also natural that women seek financial security in a mate. Ultimately all relationships start based on superficial attributes but they are sustained by other qualities like character, compatibility, etc. There's nothing wrong with being on a site where the people you date fulfill one's initial attraction criteria.

For those that claim the women on the site are all whores/uneducated/unsuccessful/etc this is incredibly ignorant. I was on the site and I have a science degree and a mensa level IQ. I met my partner on the site and we're still happily together for 3 years now. I enjoy that I don't have to deal with day to day financial responsibilities such as rent, bills, food, etc, but I am in no way a gold digger. I work very hard and earn my own money, I don't want/expect shopping sprees and fine dining.

That said though, there are many women on the site who just want a rich guy who will buy her gucci/prada/etc and give her money, and there are many men on that site who want an escort without the cost that entails. Everyone wanting something for nothing. As with all things, one just has to separate the wheat from the chaff but it seems that most people (not just those on SD.com) expect perfection in their mate when they themselves are flawed.
