Match Group has unveiled a fresh look for both its website and logo. The redesign comes as the company focuses on its global strategy and adds more interactive and entertainment-based content, indicating a shift from traditional swiping.
According to Global Dating insights, the new logo moves away from employing its traditional block letters to a more fluid and simple design. The capital M and G flow together in one continuous line with two dots above the “M” to represent two people whose hands are linked. The cursive G connected to the M also represents Match’s focus on the global community and to making connections across countries and demographics. Their new colors are also a cool electric blue and teal to make it more “inviting,” according to Global Dating Insights.

Along with the logo, Match Group has debuted a new website that highlights the direction the company is moving in, emphasizing the global appeal and inclusivity of its apps with some statistics to go along with it. The website states: “We serve all parts of society globally, sparking connections across the spectrum of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, background, and relationship goals.”
The website goes on to say that Match Group apps have been downloaded more than 750 million times, and its products are available in over 40 languages.
The company adds more broadly: “We care about diversity at Match Group, both on and off our apps. By doing everything from creating apps that bring people together from all parts of the world to sponsoring pipeline programs that bring underrepresented people into STEM careers, we work to make tech connections more inclusive.”
There are other statistics the website lists, including that 40 percent of all relationships in the U.S. now start online, and 65 percent of all LGBTQ+ couples met online, a trend that continues to grow. This was especially true last year as Covid lockdowns took hold and people looked to dating apps to meet others and connect. Downloads and activity on dating apps reached all-time highs.
There are three rotating video reels on the company’s homepage to show that Match Group offers more interactive features for its dating apps, appealing to a young user base that gravitates to social media platforms like TikTok. Safety and privacy are also highlighted on the home page, emphasizing the company’s move to better protect users of its apps in the wake of critical reports on the security of dating apps.
Match Group owns several popular dating apps including Tinder, OkCupid and Hinge, and recently acquired South Korean social discovery company Hyperconnect. It has over 1,800 employees around the world, as well as 20 offices, and is headquartered in Texas.
