Feeld Relaunches with New Interface

Launched in London as 3nder in 2014, Feeld began as a dating platform for singles and couples looking for the illusive ménage à trois. The media quickly branded it “Tinder for threesomes,” and before long, the company found itself on the wrong end of a lawsuit served by Tinder itself.

Though that would be disastrous news for almost any other fledgling startup, 3nder bravely rebranded and came back better than ever. As Feeld, the app now calls itself “a space where you can find your people and experience what you really desire.” The focus is on community, and the app caters not just to those looking for group action in the sack, but to anyone kinky, open-minded, into polyamory, outside the gender-binary, or simply curious.

Feeld was recently re-released with a new design to enhance the mobile experience for iOS and Android users. This marks the first of many updates intended to bring Feeld back into the spotlight, including an account pairing option, a revamped navigation system, and a location changing feature.

“This is just the first step in laying the foundation for what the new Feeld experience will be,” said Dimo Trifonov, Feeld founder and CEO. “We’re focused on perfecting our product for our community as well as consolidating Feeld as a space for meaningful, deliberate experience. We wanted to reimagine what’s possible and bring like-minded people together while opening up their perceptions of others. We want to normalise conversations around sexuality and enable our members to express themselves honestly outside a bubble of existing expectations.”

The company’s new mission is decidedly deeper than its initial undertaking. Feeld is dedicated to maintaining an inclusive space that’s free from imposed binaries and welcoming to users who are acutely under-served by existing dating models and platforms. It is proudly committed to openness, self-discovery, and fostering organic human connection free from echo chamber algorithms.

With the recent updates, the Feeld app provides a more cohesive experience between design and function, enabling members to safely and effortlessly connect while moving away from a conventional dating app interface. Key new features include:

  • Paired profiles that allow partners to link their accounts and add them to existing Connections
  • Redesigned profiles with greater visual impact
  • Feeld Cores that allow users to “teleport” into the app’s most populated areas to browse more profiles
  • Enhance navigation that moves beyond an immediate yes or no, allowing users to “walk past” profiles and return at a later time
  • Majestic Membership launched on Android

So far, Feeld’s drive to differentiate itself from its more mainstream, monogamy-focused counterparts has paid off. The app has seen its community grow rapidly over the past two years, with 5 million downloads logged since April 2015. Try it for yourself here.
