Dating platform Bumble has announced the addition of two new executives to its roster, making its C-Suite have an equal male-to-female ratio. Overall according to LinkedIn, Bumble has 926 employees and offices in Austin, London, and Moscow.

Anu Subramanian will join as Bumble’s Chief Financial Officer, and Selby Drummond will take on the position of Chief Brand Officer. Subramanian comes from the same position at Univision, where she led digital assets that included its direct-to-consumer business, according to Tech Crunch[*1] . Drummond departed Snapchat, where she had been the first-ever global head of Fashion and Beauty Partnerships. She led the launch of Snap’s fashion and shopping features, as well as initiatives for the popular Bitmoji products. Prior to that, she had been a senior fashion editor at American Vogue and was involved with events like the Met Gala as well as the magazine and website.

Bumble CEO and Founder Whitney Wolfe Herd noted that most companies lack women serving in executive positions. “Not only will their contributions provide a powerful impact on our businesses, they’ve also brought equal representation of women and men on our executive leadership team — a milestone that means a great deal to me on many levels.”

Wolfe Herd said the two new executive positions to support the company’s growth in promising markets, including Europe, Latin America and Asia, according to Tech Crunch.

Bumble has gone through some important changes over the past year thanks to Wolfe Herd, who stepped in to take over Bumble’s parent company Magic Labs when former partner Andre Andreev left the company amid allegations of workplace harassment from former employees. She rebranded Magic Labs as Bumble, with a suite of dating apps under the label that include Badoo, Lumen, and Chappy.

Last year, Bumble has launched its service in India, a growing market for dating apps, and launched a new in-app video chat service which has become hugely popular in the wake of the global pandemic.

In addition, the dating platform is speculated to launch its IPO in 2021 with a $6 billion valuation according to finance reports, and hit 100 million users worldwide this past summer. Private equity giant Blackstone owns a majority stake in Bumble.

“The additions of Anu and Selby underscore our commitment, along with Blackstone, to strengthen our bench with world class talent that deeply epitomize our mission and values,” said Wolfe Herd in a statement.

The new hires join an executive staff of ten, including Wolfe Herd, Chief Strategy Officer Sarah Jones Simmer, and Chief Product Officer Miles Norris. Two other recent executive hires include President Tariq Shaukat and Chief Technology Officer Ronen Benchetrit.
