Don’t signal the waiter for the check
You might be on a date and having a terrible time. When that happens, you want to leave as soon as possible. But, just because the date isn’t going well doesn’t mean you should hurt his feelings by asking for the check. No matter how bad the date is, the guy doesn’t deserve to be left mid-meal.
Don’t be irritating and ask for a different table
Don’t you hate it when you are seated in the back at a bad table? I certainly do. However, there’s no excuse that allows you to change tables. You don’t want your date to think you are extremely difficult, so stay where you are.
Don’t order something too expensive
If you choose the most expensive entree on the menu, your date is going to get the wrong idea. He might even think you’re after his money. You don’t want him to be offended and think you are rude. So, order something reasonably priced. Your date will silently thank you when the check comes.
Don’t frequent the bathroom more than once
Of course, sometimes nature calls. But it shouldn’t call more than once. If you visit the bathroom several times your date will either think you are using your phone or you’re bulimic. Neither are a good option.
Don’t use your phone
When you walk in to meet your date, your phone should live in your bag. There’s no reason to check it unless you are waiting for an emergency call. How would you feel if your date ignored you and kept checking his phone? I wouldn’t like it. So, keep your phone in your bag.
Don’t be rude to the waiter
There’s no reason to ever be rude to a waiter. He doesn’t deserve it. All he’s trying to do is make your dining experience as pleasant as possible. Remember your manners. It’s very important to be polite on a date. Don’t forget, kindness is contagious so be nice to everyone.
Don’t drink like a fish
Getting drunk on a date is never a good idea. Of course it’s okay to drink, but you don’t have to be a sloppy mess. Have a few drinks but don’t overdo it.
