Are you looking to impress someone you just met, or looking for a way to meet someone new? Halloween is a great time to mix it up a little and try something different. After all, when is a better time to show off your creativity with a fabulous costume?
If you're looking for new date ideas, or places to meet other singles this time of year, here are some suggestions:
Go on a hayride. There are plenty of romantic activities to take part in this month, and a great one is the old-fashioned hayride. Usually during Halloween, they are themed to be scary---a good excuse to cling to each other in the dark. Check your local listings to see where they are offered. If this isn't an option because you're an urban dweller, check out a local haunted house.
Go pumpkin shopping. Find your local pumpkin patch and make a date to look for your pumpkins. Take them home and carve them together that night, then whip up a romantic dinner (or order from your favorite place) and watch some scary movies. It's the perfect Halloween adventure.
Host a costume party with a friend. Instead of looking for places to meet people, co-host a good old-fashioned Halloween costume party with a friend. This way, you'll expand your dating network beyond just your friends. Have them bring drinks and you furnish some prizes for the most creative, funniest, or scariest costumes.
Check out a local haunted tour. Most cities have "haunted tours" around Halloween. These are walking or driving tours of haunted places in the city, with a little historical reference. Bring a friend and check one out---many offer a drink at a local bar at the end of the night where you can mingle.
Attend Halloween parties! Even if you and your friends aren't interested in hosting your own party, there are plenty around town. Check your local event listings as well as single mixer websites. And remember to be festive and wear a costume---it's a great ice breaker.
