A few years ago I dared  to join 'Senior People Meet' and corresponded for a while with very interesting and fine people.  I then met one of them and a most wonderful friendship came from it.  We enjoyed meeting here and there and did a lot of tavelling fogether for 30 months - unfortunately my dear friend died from a recurring cancer a year ago.   Maybe there is someone else with whom to develop  a friendship which would enrich life still.

I was on this site for 1 day before I was contacted by all very attractive looking men.  Their pictures were so polished and professional, the men looked like models.  The two that interested me both had the same occupations, though located in different countries that they were working in.  I thought it very strange that they would disclose to me right away how much they were worth.  I dropped one and continued to chat on Yahoo with the other.  He knew all the right words to say, and how to make me feel comfortable with him.  But he said he had his son with him in Nigeria who was 10 years old.  I thought this strange because the child should be in school.  After about two weeks, he told me he was in Lagos, Nigeria and that he was ready to come home.  But upon his arrival at the airport, he was hit with a fee that he had to have cash.  His credit card would not work nor is ATM card.  He said he went to the Embassy and they told him that was the law.  Without cash money, he could not leave the country.  Now after working in a country for 9 weeks building roadways and hospitals, and they will not let you leave?  I became suspicious and began to do some research on the internet.  I found just what I wanted.  Scammers using Yahoo for personal contact and the story about them traveling with their 10 year old sons.  The next day my scammer got online, but I was ready for him.  He did ask if I could send him, and this is the way he put it, 780$ and he would  pay me back as soon as he got to the states.  I said sure, that I was going right to the bank to get the money.  He sent me all of his contact information.  But the money could not be put in his name, but it had to be in his son's name.  I copied this whole chat segment and saved it on a disc.  After I got his info, I told him there was something I wanted to share with him.  I copied and pasted the info about the airport fee (TBA or FBA) some sort of phoney fee into the chat box.  Upon his reading this, this immediately ended the chat.

Ladies, and men as well, do be careful.  Love will find you.  This was my first attempt ever to use a dating serve, and truthfully speaking, it was my last.  I will wait until God places someone wonderful into my life.  Take heed.

Thank you for that information! The same thing happen to me on a different dating site. You are so right, GOD will send you who you need in your life. One sign to look for , these scammers will never want to talk with you over the phone. They will ask you if you have a yahoo messager. So yes, please be careful, scammers are out there on these dating site.
