Just to let you all know, it's not a bad site at all... you just have to not be stupid & know exactly what you're looking for... so what if youre limited with the free portion of the site, try different things to try meeting someone! I mean seriously!! I didn't pay a dime & i found my soul mate on zoosk. & you know what, he didn't pay a dime either. We actually didn't really expect to find someone on there... & you know what? We are now married & starting a family together, we will have our son in March. We are really happy with each other & can't go a day without each other... like i said, you have to know what you're looking for ask all the questions you want but one way you can talk to ppl is create an email account, with the free version you can only send one message tell them you like what you read about them on their profile & would like to get to know them & give them your email address & go on from there... that's what we did & it worked. So zoosk can be a free dating site if you know your way around it... were both glad to have found each other on there because we really do complete each other... just give it a try& quit your whining on "how bad it didn't help you" because you didn't bother with it...

I think I will try this before paying again, this one guy that I talked to at first, he told me he was not a member and could not talk to me so he gave me his e mail address, but red flags, I feel if a man lie about the smallest things he must be a fake, from his height, just simple things that were not even worth lying about. Oh well I was giving him a chance. Only thing good came out of that he helped me with my college paper. lol

You should never have to immediately give out your email address or any other contact information in the first message. It's stupid advice to suggest someone do such a thing unless you plan on being personally responsible if they get hurt or killed. Next person that does that and get's hurt or killed, their family's should sue you personally for giving out such reckless advice. That's asking for to get yourself killed, plain and simple! Zoosk has a bad interface, plain and simple.

To the idiot talking about getting hurt or killed. It's a friggin e-mail address!!!!
It's not a phone number, omg, get a life and off the comp!! lol
Nothing wrong with giving out an e-mail addy. You can even make up one to use online for things like this. e-mail addys are not linked to your home address. Unless you're a fool and enter in yours!

I agree there is nothing wrong with givng out your e mail address this man gave me his and I have not contacted him yet.

I think the poster meant create an email address just for using Zoosk. It is quite safe to do that as you can delete it if things go weird. Never give out your phone number or physical location though, and if you meet someone, do it in a public place first time and preferably on CCTV. Also let a friend know where you are going and when you expect to be back.

I wonder why so many people are so paranoid about giving people their phone number these days. Once upon a time when people used real phones they used to publish a book that anyone could own that had everyones phone number in it. Not only that but it had your full name and address too. I don't remember mass killings because this information was widely available.

Now Zoosk. I won't pay a penny to be rejected when I can get it free in the real world. I have a funny feeling that the "views" are generated by Zoosk computers. Some of them anyway. I keep getting a lot of women view me over and over again. I'm not saying it's impossible that this happens I know there are some ladies profiles I have viewed a few times but it does seem dubious. It's a shame you can't communicate with people without paying.

Times are different now, who wants a person to have their personal information without really getting to know them, give out your phone number and hope that person is not able to find you. lol Have to play it safe.
