Yes, I agree. There are men and women on the site who are just playing games. I have been on the site for about five months, and have had three (dates). One guy I believe all he wants is a phone pen pal. Not really doing anything but texting and calling with one liners We met once, and we both said we liked each other and wanted to pursue it further. He is not serious obviously,because he is still on the site daily, but yet contacting me with messages. He doesn't have transportation now and works a lot. I will try this for another 30 days, and if I am not blessed with a serious partner, I am out of the circus for good! Wish everyone else the best!

I was on this site in 2005 and met quite a few guys on the site nice guys.I picked 2 one eastcoast 1 westcost it seemed the eastcoast guy lived on the site even saying he wanted to meet and get to know each other. I was more interested in him but this guy had woman coming out the ears I found out. I was seeking a real relationship the westcoast guy was very nice but then turned out to be a mommas boy! I just said I will take a break. forward to 2012 eastcoast guy is still on the site!

I think I know the eastcoast guy your talking about also yep he says he is looking for a serious relationship texts a lot and calls but he plays wat too many games and says taking his first cruse soon but he has been on quite a few with women

The site is complete garbage. I got a lot of emails semi-literate thugs, African men in Europe and Africa (I don't do overseas long distance or English as a second or third language, and I don't mess with anything that might be a green card ploy, so I just cut these off at the outset), and there are a lot of white men with chocolate fantasies cruising there as well. If you want to meet black people online, just use regular online dating sites; there are plenty of us on there. And I've heard the same thing from men who've tried it, except that their complaint was that it was Chickenhead City. I think I was on here a week before I realized that I couldn't be bothered and bailed.

Horrible selection of men. This site is for men seeking women. Too many liars, false profiles, scam artist and unsafe men on the site, unemplyed, uneducated, sex driven men, especially in the Houston TX and surrounding areas. Very dissapointing and not worth the money. Black Christian Meet is a recycled version of BPM same men same song and not Christian..

I wonder if the site is so limited because alot of black people are leary of online dating. Although curious, I'm very skeptical & a bit old fashioned when it comes to dating. I guess it would be the same as meeting someone by chance. My question is .... is there a fee? Most dating sites that are reputable cost

Yes there is a fee...a friend. Mine met her husband on blackpeoplemeet.com.....he is a very good catch and they dated a year and recently got married....
