Thanks for all your tips. I had an attempted scam by someone claiming to be held by customs in Africa!! U had several red flags and kept trying to get him to acknowledge, but never did nor did he actually ask for money but I can see that was the purpose. He claimed to have found me on Plenty of Fish and got my personal email adress from me but I did not give it to him so he got it from one before that which I had turned down for similar reasons. so they are out there and taking advantage of any and all they can. Beware ladies and men as they could be portraying themselves to the opposite sex the same manner.
