Why POF S U C K S

I could list maybe 50-60 reasons why POF sucks, but they all would overlap each other by some degree, and in the end they all would come up with the same conclusion.

Namely - PLENTY OF FISH SUCKS!

For that reason I will just highlight the main reasons why POF sucks.

What other people here in post have said/stated negatively about POF is 100% correct as well, as related to the same BOGUS tactics just to make a buck off of the users that use either site.

POF currently allows and even has retained profiles that are well over 2 years old (as I still see them there today), and the acct owners haven't even visited them in just that long a period of time or even longer! Go figure huh?

That POF Loser Forum he so Gestapo-like runs is the biggest joke there ever was - as it is just fueled by nothing more then LOSERS that have nothing better to do with themselves. Ever read some of that crap that's posted there? Total *censored* is all that is there to begin with. Who would even waste a second's time there? Not me that's for sure!

If I didn't know any better I'd say POF is owned and operated by the same Jimmy Buttmaster jerks that run Craigslist.com, as they both have the same Freak-site mentality, and the same business scheme (or scam as it were) where they just rely on sheer numbers of SUCKERS to use their site.

Buttmaster is always having to defend his sorry ass and site every time there is a new SEX SCANDAL at his sorry ass site. Just like the recent Craigslist Murderer that was using Craigslist to stalk and murder "call girl massage bimbos" that were posting there. If it's not illegal massage parlors, then it's illicit massage studios run from the gal's house, or just plain out an out prostitution being offered online at that Craigslust site.

I can't believe that the FEDS just haven't shut them down yet same as the POF site, which is nothing more then a PYRAMID SCAM in a way! It's all FREE because they both rely on the affiliate marketing ADS there, and the supposed huge number of hits people make to those ads that only makes them their supposed millions of dollars in so called profit. If you can believe that crap to begin with!

Lets face it - if no one used either site then both sites would crumble and collapse in a heartbeat! With POF if all us good men would just drop our accts there that POF site would be history in a heartbeat!

I saw one gals site there that kept popping back up time and time again after it was dropped something like 3 times for being totally POLITICALLY BOGUS bashing Clinton like it did during the Obama election run up, and each time she was able to use a different username - email addy - and server, so that fallacy about a Tracking Cookie being set is total garbage more or less. POF still relies on FLAGGING to dump profiles - much like that which that lame Craigslist site uses as well.

My POF profile actually had a gal stalker hit, and just because I told her that her Webcam pix looked like crap she keep hitting my profile with a REPORT THIS ACCT whatever and then a few days later my acct was gone! There are some real gal LOSERS on that POF site who are so damned scorned in real life that all they do is use that POF site just to vent on guys by having them dropped by constantly posting bad comments on them. Esp when the guys are GREAT GUYS like myself to begin with.

That lame Craigslist site is the very same! Seems like both these 2 sites - as of late - are only attracting a bunch of creeps, looney-bins, scorned retards, illiterates, stalkers, scammers, Bogus ads, spammers, hackers, and on and on and on!

I've seen more (gal) transplants from other dating sites now residing at POF - as of late - then ever before! Many of which have come over from other popular dating sites as the faces and the POF posted pix are all still the same. Only on POF they somehow have gotten younger instead of older by anywhere from 5 to 10 years - as by the previous Match site's bio notes that were once there, but now are gone. I've saved a lot of them for reference so I know for fact!

That POF site should have been named PLENTY OF FLAKES!

Consider this -

Ever notice that at certain major POF posting cities like Miami - LA - Chicago - Boston, etc, etc that there are a healthy number of 38DD SILICONE CHESTED BIMBO'S with their boobs hanging out to the Moon. Literally! And that their profiles read like a giant NEON SIGN prostituting themselves for SEXUAL FAVORS - as by what their bio notes read as well? Any gal that has 800+ guys (suckers) saving her profile to their FAVS (and this is totally true btw) has to be a real low self-esteem LOSER to begin with, but not only that - a guy has to either have a hole in his head to begin with, or else he is just one of 800 male losers without a hope or prayer of ever getting a gal to go out with him in the first place. Take your pick. I rest my case right there!

Do I have to say GOLD-DIGGER or PRO-DATER 101 or FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS ONLY or BLACK-WIDOW or ATTENTION WHORE or maybe even just BOGUS FAKE FAKE FAKE? Take your pick - as they all equate to the same end - namely - POF LOSERS!

The first signs of POF going under were the LOSS of that IM feature they had there - lame as it was - not that it was worth a crap to begin with - as by it's limited features. Then again the gals hated it to begin with, as they had NOTHING worthwhile to say to begin with. Most illiterate gals on POF can't even put together a sentence of any worth longer then 20 words - much less 300 - as is required as a Mail Setting there.

There were some literate gals there that could hold a candle to me, but VERY FEW indeed.

POF didn't like me changing my flaky Hotmail addy at all, as then they couldn't spam me with tons of new junk mail at my new email site. I hardly use my old Hotmail addy anymore these days, as it's the pits with nothing but spam and junk mail to no end!

My new email site blocks 99.9% of all junk mail trying to get into my Inbox. NICE!! And NO it's not AOL either - as AOL is garbage as well. That email addy changeover was yet another reason of probably why my acct there at POF got dropped. Go figure - as I never got even 1 stinking notice of any abuse there at all just prior to my acct going dead! Other then a couple scorned gal stalkers there right before it got dumped.

Then came that POF site's lame scam to try and get the guys to supposedly buy the gals some kind of stupid online Flower Card via using their VISA card as a payment source. Like the gals were ever going to send them to the guys there - I'm sure!

The gals there don't even acknowledge the fact now that you'll send them Free Virtual Flowers as an Icebreaker, so why would a guy even waste any money on a stupid Flower Card, or whatever else it was POF was trying to dupe you out of money wise?

Of course the guys were to give away all their PERSONAL Credit Card INFO as well in the process - that is - IF they were that stupid. That scam went over like a TON of BRICKS! Nobody bought into that one!

The other very obvious sign that POF is going under, and is really desperate about losing money is all that new advertising garbage that's now all over the place on the site to no end. I mean everywhere! You couldn't even hardly click on anything or any open space there without it being an AD box popup whatever, or some new AD site page trying to sell you something. That IMAGE icon was the worse!

If it gets any worse there they might even want to change the name to PLENTY OF FOOLS!

This is good counsel, knowing I am not alone, set up a account years ago , to this day I experiencing and suffering very life damaging repercussions, I will elaborate, a combo of hitting it hard and taking it in stride, other attitudes and mindsets, little picking, and flooding,, causal texting, total bombing raid dropping random text everywhere, simple and resp and cordial and intelligent and interesting, no response, scrolling almost litterly whole site of woman , regardless few if any doing just to photography, or bio having any wholesome psychological emotionally healthy meaningful purpose to pursue or Tex, in addition to not even basic average attraction, and even more challenging hiding there figure, and no swimsuit, or at least hints or appearal they are in shape and desirable to very desirable, truly, I then received a Tex 2 whole months later from a woman, after endless phone tag, we went out to a public outside cafe, had some snacks and drinks, after while woman kept sharing with me a secret stalker she would tell me came around ever so often, for years, and still present, I thought this way strange about her, she was attractive and fun, so later ein week, I contacted her again, after reaching her later on in the week, following up to calling her as she asked and I said I would keep my word, she acted really touched and weird, busy , I said no worries, she said to understand and keep trying and not giving up on us, after reaching up later on in week, after and trying to see if I should continue or end it, she said still busy, yet would not give me a forward or backwards, she started to act crazy and like a total nut job, yelling and then screaming on the phone, like a total nut job unequivocally, I swear if my experience with women mention a stalker, even the words articulated on there tounge, stalker, the woman is an absolute idiot and stage 10 nuthouse wandering around, and I am 101 or maybe one of the ones having experience with this frekezoid slitz of women type??

2021 and everything you said but worse!! I've used their site on and off but after a break up earlier this year i was lonely and tried to give it a go again, after 4 months i am done with this site. 99% of the women on this site are scammers that are real people ( marjority probably not women) that will chat with you, might give you a phone number and then ask for money, then theres the bots, then theres woman with standard so high that if your not absolutely perfect you wont get a response, and then theres the streamers which are completely useless and just there to livestream and make money off the simps. I tried to make a nice profile, detailed but not an essay but nobody mails you, you always have to do so and out of the 4 months ive chatted with 3 women and took one of them on the worse date of my life.

First girl we hit it off immediately and had great conversations and had alot in common, she wanted to take it slow and was busy with her job so we mostly texted. She never sent me pics but she did have a few pictures on her profile, i sent her selfies occasionally just show i was open and not hiding or anything. So she want to video call which i was up to. So we did and literally right after she blocked me. I literally look like pictures i sent, we had a great conversation and everything but she completely disappeared.

Girl 2 was alright, she was really nice and sincere and "sounded" like she knew what she wanted and we wanted the same things, from her profile pics she was a little over weight but i was ok with that, im not big but not thin either. She didnt have a job, a car, and tons of health issues but i said whatever, I'll still give it a shot.So we chatted for a while, she didn't give me her number cause of previous weirdos she encountered on the site so we did Instagram which i was ok with, after about a month i asked her if i could take her out to lunch and whatever else she wants to do thats fun, she wanted to go to the beach. So we tried one time days before i blew out a tire on my car while driving and had to fix all the damage. Instead of asking if i was alright she was mad and complaining and told me to get a new car which anoyyed me, then complained that i work alot which no i dont i work a normal 40 hour week but seems like it cause she's dated bums with no job and she herself is out of work. But anyways weeks later with me staying after work to fix it (Im an auto mechanic) i finally take her out and omg. SHE WAS HUGE! In her profile she looked about 250ish, she had to be 400 to 500 pounds!! So i awkwardly give her the flowers i bought her and she while driving to the restaurant she said that later that day she was sleeping over her friend's house and wanted to be dropped off there which i said ok and thought nothing of it till she mentioned HIS name is Christian. So literally just picked her up and was done already contemplating kicking her out of my car but said *censored* it let me just attempt to get this over with. So we go to restaurant, the mood was destroyed before we got there, went to the beach and i was completely disgusted by her, im not against big women but she lied to me and was extremely overweight. And then i dropped her at her fwb place and said never again. She then messaged me later saying she didn't feel a connection, i blocked her at that point.

Third girl i was already fed up with this sight but in her profile she said she liked dad jokes so i introduced myself and started with a super corny joke and she liked it we started going back and forth with corny dad jokes, after like multiple back and forth jokes i tried having a normal conversation to learn more about her and the conversation was dead, i was trying to get something going and only getting one word responses and she blocked me.

Now and done with this and hope you can see why and can learn from my experiences. Not giving up dating but learned online is useless, I'll probably try something more irl but i gotta figure out how to do that haha

Amen brother. The nazi account admin they have deleting user accounts because of loser girl stalker reports is an absolute joke. They deleted my account for the 5th time now. I am done permanently with POF. I will NEVER use their crappy app or service again. It produces some of the worst results and, omg the fake profiles come flooding in as soon as you go looking. I am going to take a break from online dating for a while then use match or e-harmony when I get re-established again, but never pof. ....absolute waste of time and I feel sorry for the suckers that pay them.....what a bunch of suckers. It is worth spending the money for a professional service where the women can actually type and string full sentences together and have teeth. A place where education matters, and where you don't get cat fished by a woman with like a dozen kids and 3 exes that posted a pic from high school when they were actually thin and attractive. I sincerely hope another dating service comes along and and steals the market share driving them out of business. Absolutely worst site that doesn't even tell you your profile had been deleted, you just can't login or reset. Amatuer loser developers and account admin. Boycott POF and use OK Cupid or even a local dating service for cheap. I am uninstalling now.

I'm 72 and I have been trying POF on and off for the last month. I still get the eye from attractive women, average ages fifties, once in awhile when I am at work functions or at some grocery stores. The aging process has been kind to me and I work out.

I got about a hundred of those somebody wants to meet you messages, and about 20 women messaged me. Out of the 100 meet yous and the 20 messages only one woman was attractive. I messaged her and she responded with one word messages, except for one lackluster, five word sentence. She was either disinterested or boring. I must have messaged about a dozen women I found attractive. Maybe 2 responded to me with the one word replies, if I was lucky maybe a sentence. Nothing came of it.

Forgot to mention, I was like a rock star with the scammers. Beautiful women to die for in their twenties with bangin' bodies and profiles that said they were in their 70s lusted after me repeatedly. "Hello handsome," they said. "Let's talk on Skype. Here's my phone number text me." It was all good until I blew it and told them about how I used to turn scammers into the Attorney General's office. After that I could see that no way was I going to get lucky.

One blonde messaged me and she was attractive. But after 3 messages back and forth it didn't go anywhere, and I could see we were incompatible. One thing that bothered me about her. She described herself as curvy and had no full body photos in her profile.

That reminds me of another thing to watch out for. I know from years ago when I tried a dating site and had more success, women often looked nothing like their photos. The profile photos looked 15 years or more younger, and it was shocking when you saw the difference. It also made for a lousy first date when you wanted to get out of the date pronto.

I have come to the conclusion POF really does suck. It is seductive because it takes less effort to sit at you computer and post stuff than to get out and go places where you can meet women face to face. I now believe if someone put the time they waste on POF in trying to meet women in the real world, they'd have a far better chance of meeting women.

That said, it takes a lot of effort and a willingness to risk face to face rejections. You have to figure out what places are best to meet women. And if you don't already know how to start conversations with women you just meet, you have to acquire those skills. Google could help find the ways and means. :-)

There's no comparison to meeting a woman face to face. Just a lingering look in your direction can start your pulse racing. Way better than looking at a profile with outdated photos and women who still won't respond to your polite and carefully worded message.

But, if you get fed up with all this chasing women stuff, there's always MGTOW.

Just because I don't use Spellcheck, and I don't need to beings I'm Very Literate & Grammar proper - You think you can belittle me just because my On the Fly proofreading & editing missed (what ?) 2 variations of Then & Than? I agree that POF does suck, but honestly it's all online dating sites. The deck is massively stacked in women's favour. The proportions are terrible, as far as men outnumbering women. The sites are often crawling with trannies and men posing as women, as well as scammers, catfish and bots.

As far as the real women on POF, most of them will not even respond at all, no matter how well written and thought-out your message is. You can try long ones, short ones, silly, serious, thoughtful, it matters for naught. You are most likely lost in their inbox full of messages like yours and while you may be a desirable guy, good luck being THE guy they choose, out of hundreds of others.

Reading their profiles, you will quickly pick up on some recurrent themes and ideas. You will see over and over again 'l don't have time for games' or 'Be a real man and spoil me' or they may even outright criticize and name-call men in general in their info or tagline. Some will post the most insanely provocative, sexy photos, purely meant to arouse and tease men, yet they have these little self-righteous mini rants about not wanting sex.

Even the women who are, in all objective honesty, extremely unattractive at best, will have a list of demands a mile long for dating them. I've seen many that demean men without a car, mocking their financial situation and calling them 'little boys'.

Hands down, the most maddening thing in my experience is when you finally get the cherished REAL message from a REAL cute girl, and she acts interested and kindles a decent conversation, and she may even offer you her number. Then right when you're feeling great about everything, she goes silent and you never hear from her again. By this time, almost anyone would be jaded and have an attitude about the whole thing.

Do men add to the problem, yes for sure. No one is innocent. But women really do have the upper hand in this scenario and many men feel under appreciated and blown off, without a chance to prove themselves as decently worthy. You do everything right and you get no results, and then you're shamed or ridiculed for being upset about it. Something's not right.

I've read most of the comments on here and it truly upsets me that women seem to be acting like this. I've had offers from Sugar Daddy's obviously a scam, so many from abroad saying they live in Swansea or suchlike. My profile is real, my photos are real, I am real so why don't I get a response from most I message. Talking about messaging now pof has put a stop to messaging unless you both 'heart' each other, loads of so ans so likes you but no way to respond unless you try and match up photos. I am no paying for the dating site and I won't. So please you guy there are some honest women on pof, don't give up, you just never know who is round the next corner. Sometimes I'd think it w8be easier to wear a t-shirt with, single and looking. In fact I might just Google that one. Happy fishing everyone be careful of any sharks or scammers. X

The majority of grown men on this planet have a car, a house, and a good job that pays enough to support an entire family. That is a FACT. If you are a grown man who doesn't have these three things, you ARE a boy. It separates the men from the boys.

It's not just POF that sucks, its women today that suck. They have standards that are sky high. Every single one of them is looking for the 25 year old who makes 200+ K a year. Looks like Chris Hemsworth, and has the personality that will melt anyones soul. And in return they offer you, bad attitude, at least 50 lbs overweight, bossy and narcissistic, and has anywhere from 1-4 kids already in tow. No, I have no kids, never been married, and am a professional singer and actress who is one of the most beautiful women in the world. I am considered extremely attractive, and all the men on this site did was give me 50,000 compliments about my looks and how 'sexy' I am. Not one of them gave a real marriage proposal. Who DO you men propose marriage to?

It is not 'sky high' expectations to expect a grown man to have his financial act together and to look presentable and handsome. There is a lot you can do with your appearance by not dressing like slobs and keeping your facial hair neat and trim! If you choose not to, you will continue to get rejection and leftover, sub-standard women.

Meanwhile, they date and MARRY the women with 400 tattoos, usually extremely overweight, with 3-4 kids. Stop lowering your standards. Women have every right to want a physically attractive man because that is how the species is populated! There must be a physical attraction!

I do not fall into any of your categories, and when men learn how to act socially, how to write a coherent message that is not one word 'hey', then they will get a beautiful woman. And you men that think you know how many lbs. overweight a woman is, ha ha! How do you know woman's dress sizes? You're not a woman!!! Stop experimenting with sex outside of marriage. There are both low quality men and women on POF. As an older woman, I have seen how some of the women looked because the site had a feature on it that would let you see pictures of both genders, for the purpose of helping the site eliminate pictures that violated its rules. There are men and women who think that they are all that, and their perception is not received by others. Having said that, as an older woman I shake my head at the very unattractive way quite a few older men present themselves: hair on the head and facial hair ungroomed, wrinkled tee shirts, clothing that seemed to have been bought from the thrift store in 1972, unbecoming eyeglasses. Photos show rooms or backgrounds that look like the person is struggling to live. I could go on and on. People have a right to be picky according to what their standard of beauty and preference is. Those people, both men and women who levy the picky slur, should ask those who rejected you why they did, if you have the guts to do so. I have had to tell men explicitly, who refused to accept a soft rejection, why I would not be interested in them. Lastly, everyone should post at least 1-2 current photos, and update as needed, so that when you show up on a date or meet and greet, it does not appear that you have done a bait and switch.

Preach your phony act all you like. You can't sustain it forever and at the end of the day I'll avoid you like the plague. You remind me of a girl who lived next door who was into acting and so successful on Match that she made over 100k/yr, lived 40 miles away, served on three church committees, and was a few years younger than on her drivers license. Like me, she was never married and said she didn't have kids but her swimsuit didn't hide the stretch marks. She wasn't overweight and didn't have any tattoos, but was nearly evicted by a previous landlord for being four months behind on the rent and the car she drove was one her sister gave her. She was also a functional closet wino.

Come look me in the eye ya damned *censored*.Truth is, engineers with a net worth of 500 to 1,000 are typically discarded by ego inflated trash like yourself. I'm not Einstein but have several degrees, well over 250 credit hours, and have posted a few interesting profiles that would make some English professors look like idiots if they were capable of connecting the dots to learn something.

One of the worst profiles was of a phoney medical doctor to get even with a glamor girl who wanted to hook up, then blocked. It was a quick *censored* one and a half paragraphs where I soon discovered a steady stream of two or three girls making first contact everyday. Oh no, the lying scum weren't looking for money or anything like that. So happens I studied nursing for a while and some who would never give me and a buddy the time of day, got played long and hard way past their bedtimes before cutting the line.

Unrelated to POF, I met the hookup/block psycho living a mile from here. With her short gray hair we hugged and smooched like mad in her front yard. She looked even better wearing her long blond internet hair. Luckily, later on, when she realized I was the imposter, it was over.

I might comment on a girls tore up pants but almost never mention anything about her looks, good or bad. Anymore, when I log on and see how superficial they are like yourself, it's a joke and taken seriously enough that crossing paths at Walmart and realizing you're on POF, would make me run like hell.
