Bad Site!

it is still free, and yes people tend to be stuck up on there or lie a lot- just have to sort thru the bad fish. this site seems to have more people respond back than other sites out there tho.

(great site just to be clear!) LOL yes bad fish met one yesterday. Some girl without a pic wanting to chat outside website on msn when I asked for a pic....very sweet for a while, then promised a 1 for 1 pic exchange. I sent mine and she never sent 1 back. Grammer in chatting degraded since from proper, to a "ur" type by end without any complete sentences. Her name was Rebecca, so watch out know you are warned if you are a guy!

Lots more bad fishes who somehow think waiting for a guy to sweep them off their feet is attractive...and other selfish perspectives. I do think a lot of women comes to the site knowing a lot of more than average men gets here instead of using Paid sites where mostly men who believe that money attracts "good" girls goes to.

But, there are definitely a large selection of bad fishes who are women looking for those spoken of men. Definitely lots of more mature women as well, not just the ones trying to sound mature. A few phone calls + chats are usually good enough to weed out the pretend-mature women. So definitely recommend to communicate a little while before deciding on an actual date.

Good luck everyone and keep in mind that dating is mutual! So is paying for meals during dating! Recommend a come over kind of meal at home to talk etc. One can pay for travel or some grocery, and other provide meal and place to stay etc

I don't know. I find it to be ok, I'm a decent looking good guy and it's tough to figure out if some women on their are just serial daters. I finally met a girl who is beautiful funny and slightly odd in her own adorable way, but then she's so busy she can't make much time for anything over the course of two months. The brain wants me to believe she's just using me or serial dating or not really into me (even though she says she is). So I surprise her. I reel her in by playing and singing the one song that makes women not able to stop thinking about you. So long story short I won her over and I'm hers and she's mine.

There are a lot of losers on POF. There are a lot of serial daters on POF. There are alot of women and dudes on their claiming to want a long term relationship and are really just dtf and will hurt you. There are also good people. There are also creeps. There are all kinds on POF. Just don't take yourself so seriously and you'll be fine. If you can't maybe you shouldn't be dating.

I consider my “dating pool” to be single women in their 50’s and 60’s. So far (approaching 6 years), I have found that, within this group, many women genuinely want to be in a romantic relationship, but simply do not have time for the following reasons, none of which are “wrong”, they just “are”:

Many still work full or part-time or volunteer, which occupies many hours each week;

They may be taking care of a parent or two;

They have children in the area that, of course, they want to see;

They have grandchildren that they want to baby sit so their children can have time to themselves;

They have friends or family that visit or they need to go visit;

They have girlfriends they need to see and do “girly” things with;

They have a hobby or two that I don’t enjoy (golf, tennis, boating, etc,);

They have all the routine “stuff of life” that every woman has (hair, nails, shopping);

All of the above seems to leave 4 hours on a Saturday night twice a month available for dating.

Unfortunately, this 8 hours a month is not enough time to build a close, caring, loving relationship.

Yes, many of the above could be enjoyable shared activities AFTER a relationship has been created, but not things to do together BEFORE a relationship has been created.

Many also feel they have spent most of their life, until now, pleasing others and see the time now as “Me” time. A time to do whatever they want, when they choose to do it without consulting or discussing it with anyone. I can completely understand that feeling and cannot fault it, however, it does not lead to cultivating a relationship.

Also, some are snow birds that are merely looking for some South Florida entertainment for a few months.

I absolutely admire and envy the full and complete life they have built without a man, but they are at least fooling themselves into thinking they have time for a relationship.

Of course, I hear, “If a woman really wants to be with you, she will MAKE time for you.” Unfortunately, I don’t want to be in the same category with an oil change.

I can empathize. Men in their 60's (my dating pool) present with the same issues; jobs, friends, family, etc. and simply do not have time for a relationship. AND they seem to be seeking a 60+ year old woman who is one of the "new 40's". I'm 60+ and I've earned every single wrinkle, ache, and small roll I have. Love it or leave it!! LOL
